Salisbury
An incredibly rare working.
Class 40 No. 40076 approaches Salisbury station with 6V79 09:08 Eastleigh East Yard - Severn Tunnel Junction, although booked to recess at Salisbury Yard from 10:44 to 13:52. Naturally causing quite a stir the veteran locomotive arrived on 6O68 03:35 Severn Tunnel Junction - Eastleigh East Yard, booked Salisbury 06:04 to 06:22.
The locomotive was withdrawn on 18 April 1983 with a bogie fracture and overdue overhaul, more details here.

Marchwood
Tail-end Charlie's to Pathfinder Tours 'The Wessex Adventurer' - 33114 Sultan and 33102 get away from Marchwood and head on down to Fawley, the tour being hauled by green 45106. The tour had originated from Manchester and took in the Fawley branch, and Weymouth Quay tramway, before returning to Manchester.
A shot of 45106 - taken by local photographer Keith Mantle - just past the Whistle board in the distance can be seen here.

Brockenhurst
The first Sunday of the new year, and the second of two no-heat Class 47's to work out of Poole the same morning. Things are off to a good start?
With Railfreight Distribution's 47293 having worked 1M84 11:15 Poole - Manchester, it was now the turn of Freightliner's 47301 Freightliner Birmingham to work 1E27 13:03 Poole - York, seen here arriving at Brockenhurst.

Marchwood
45106 arriving at Marchwood hauling Pathfinder Tours 'Wessex Adventurer' tour running as 1Z37 06:00 Manchester Piccadilly - Weymouth Quay - Manchester Piccadilly via Fawley.
33102 and 33114 were tailing the train having been attached at Eastleigh. They would work the tour back from Fawley back to Totton, where the 45 would then continue to Bournemouth before it headed to Bournemouth depot for fuel, the two 33's continuing on to Weymouth Quay. 45106 then running light to Weymouth to work the tour back to Manchester.

Poole
A short notice substitution for the booked Class 47 and loco-hauled stock, obviously down to some kind of drama up the line?
Standing at Poole is 1M40 17:10 Poole - Reading using 33029 and a 4-TC set.
Back in the "good old British Rail days" such a thing would have been possible, rather than cancelling the service altogether. With the privatisation of British Rail things like this became a thing of the past.

Birmingham New Street
Chucking it down with rain at Birmingham New Street on a dull Sunday winter's afternoon. However the hybrid livery of 47575 City of Hereford certainly stands out in the gloom.
To the right stands 47417 which has arrived on 1S39 11:10 Poole - Glasgow Central, not sure about the strange bloke next to it though, I think he was from Portsmouth?
