Holes Bay Poole
Local railwaymen refer to a train travelling between Poole and Hamworthy (or vice-versa) as "coming over the mud", and here's why. Even though Sunday nights supermoon is still two days away its affect on the tide is evident here revealing "the mud", and anyone foolish enough to try and walk out on it will soon find themselves up to their waist, or deeper, in the stuff. In the distance a SouthWest Trains liveried 444 unit heads towards Hamworthy.

Whilst stood on the edge of Holes Bay it was incredible to literally watch the water being drained away, an affect of Sunday nights supermoon, it was like the plug had been pulled out. The white livery of the SouthWest Trains Class 444 'Desiro' unit stands out well in landscape style shots, such as here near Dorchester, unlike the blue or green livery of Great Western who also operate this section.
